Services

Our treatment covers a wide variety of services at Healing Hearts Foundation.  We are a licensed non-residential (outpatient) facility that provides direct care for individuals, groups and families with challenges relating to mental health and substance abuse, Co-Occurring Disorders. We offer options and support for those struggling with attachment to addictive patterns. Our treatment milieu provides unique opportunities for those desiring transformation.  

Substance Abuse Treatment
Healing Hearts Foundation is an alternative, integrative care treatment provider that specializes in Co-Occurring Disorders, trauma and drug free pain management. To address detoxification, we have Acupuncture Detoxification Specialists, Reiki Masters and a steam room for all to use when they participate in our treatment milieu. We do, however, refer those who need medical detox to a community detox program. In addition, we provide specific techniques such as EMDR to address trauma, mindful meditation for spiritual development, and therapeutic experiential processes such as Heart Work, Heart Dance, and Conscious Movement to help folks reach the core of their pain so they can begin healing from within.

Services for Women
We offer an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for women who are at least eighteen (18) years of age. They may be pregnant, or within three months postpartum,  or attempting to regain custody. 

We understand the unique experience of women with substance abuse issues or co-occurring disorders that are pregnant and/or have dependent children. The type of care for this population addresses multiple issues beyond recovery from substance abuse and mental health such as understanding the direct influence of the mother’s behaviors on her fetus and/or her children. We help them learn the parenting skills necessary to raise their children in a healthy environment. We address family and partner relationship issues, especially domestic violence that is so detrimental to these women and their children’s development. The Women’s Program incorporates treatment that targets the numerous issues that arise, helping women sustain their recovery and wellness and begin to shape a lifestyle that builds upon their strengths, resilience, and responsibility for their family.

Parenting Class
Healing Hearts Foundation offers an 8 week group educational program for support with parenting. Parents learn new skills for relating and nurturing their children while identifying how they may have been imprinted by their family of origin as they break the cycle of unhealthy parenting behavior. This class is approved by the Department of Children’s Services and Juvenile Court.

Auricular Acupuncture Detoxification (Acudetox)
Acudetox detoxifies the body by inserting acupuncture needles into specific points in each ear while the participant sits quietly for about 45 minutes. A sense of relaxation and calm eases the symptoms of withdrawal making recovery a more attainable goal. We offer this protocol to everyone who comes into our non-residential treatment program for all types of addictive disorders. It soothes withdrawal symptoms, mental obsessions, and using dreams that plague early recovery.  

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is a therapeutic technique targeting specific feelings and past traumatic experiences.  The eye movements are utilized to desensitize the emotional charge and the physiological responses that people experience from the memory of traumatic events. We offer Level Two EMDR for victims of trauma.
